This course is approved by the DOT and NRCME to provide DOT medical examiners with the training necessary to prepare for and pass the NRCME national certification exam. Providing 18 hours of ACCME AMA/PRA Category 1 CME credits, is delivered completely online, self-paced with unlimited access to train for the certification exam.
This course will help examiners to use their judgement to detect, suggest treatment options and provide certification options for commercial drivers who have been identified with OSA. This course is only intended to provide evidence based OSA guidance for medical examiners until such time as the FMCSA approves a final rule.
This program provides realistic techniques every commercial driver can incorporate into their daily routine by resting right, eating right, and keeping fit. After completing this course, DOT / commercial drivers will have a better understanding of the DOT OSA physical exam requirements, sleep apnea, and improving their overall health.
